In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and the jungle and Old Orchard Retreat. Millie saw that the Retreat was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the jungle retreat.
And Millie said “Let there be stables.” And Alan set about overseeing the building of stables. And when the stables were finished, Millie saw the stables and she saw that they were good.
And Millie said “Let there be paddocks.” And Alan set about creating paddocks. And when the paddocks were finished, Millie saw the paddocks and she saw that they were good.
And Millie said “Let there be horses” And horses appeared in the firmament of the jungle. And Millie saw that the horses were good.
And Millie said “Let there be a riding arena” And Alan set about creating a riding arena. And when the riding arena was finished, Millie saw the riding arena and saw that it was good.
And Millie said “Let there be creatures.” And Alan set about collecting creatures two-by-two. Creatures of every kind – Geese and ducks and fowl of the air; dogs and cats and rabbits to creepeth over the grounds; tilapia fish and catfish to swim in the ponds. And Millie gave Alan dominion over the creatures, but Millie kept the horses for herself and her own dominion – and it was so.
And behold, looking about, Millie saw all that had been done, and Millie saw that it was good – it was very good.
And on the seventh day, Millie rested…
But Alan continues to repair the stables and mend the paddocks and groom the arena and tend to the birds of the air and the creatures that creepeth over the ground and the fish in the ponds… And so it is, and so it shall be evermore…
So creative and entertaining! Tongue in cheek but also very true. I loved it!
No “tongue in cheek”. So it is written, so it came to pass. Thanks for the comment. Cheers
